Attire: Ami has darkly colored hair and eyes and a fair complexion, and she tends to carry herself very well. Her hair has always been an odd dark green color and often it’s hard for people to tell the exact shade. Her hairstyle alternates quite often. One day she could be wearing it in pigtails, while others she would let it fall pass her shoulders and down the middle of her back. Occasionally she even cuts her hair quite short and allows for it to grow back. Her outfits, which change slightly less frequently than her hairstyles, are always comprised of tight, short jackets with long sleeves and either short skirts or short shorts. However, rather than changing her footwear every day she wears her Teigu which cover most of her legs.
Extra: She has multiple scars on her back, arms, and legs from her time as a member of the Imperial Army. However her most noticeable scar would be an cross shaped scars on the front of both of her ankles that she received from her Teigu. She also has a tattoo of stars on her right collarbone

The Persona

Personality: Ami has two different personalities, A and Amelia, due to having multi-personality syndrome
A is often kind and welcoming to most people, although she is quite blunt and hotheaded. Due to her anger problems, she is easily provoked. She turns sarcastic, rude and will spit out insults and will not stop at all. Often her anger comes in sudden intervals, one moment she can be calm and quite happy while it merely takes a second before she becomes aggressive and very angry. Even when not angered, A is quite oblivious to other’s feelings, even when she is aware about how another person is feeling she simply ignores it. She is smart and cautious when deciding things. Often, however A is carefree and laidback, she has a positive outlook on life and is quite stubborn. She is also quite courageous, but never to the point of recklessness. She always weighs in the pros and cons of situations before she acts out. She is also not a forgiver type a person but never enjoys taking revenge on people.

Amelia is the cold and calculating personality. She is completely emotionless other than an occasional anger outburst; she is nothing but a killer machine that holds neither mercy nor forgiveness towards her enemies. Her tone of voice is always as cold as ice, calm and emotionless. Amelia views everyone as an enemy for she is unable to distinguish friend or enemy since they are the same in her eyes. She tends to be extremely aggressive and attack anything that gets in her way, when provoked. However, if she has an extreme amount of self-control, she can control what she attacks. She can be viewed as a psychopath in this personality. She is reckless and doesn’t care of her own life at all. Unlike A however, Amelia tends to be very reckless and quite easily fooled. She does not communicate well at all as Amelia, and has her normal anger problems, which is the closest she can get to being able to feel emotions. Ami, however, only turns into Amelia for short periods of time, turning into her at random times and staying at her for a few minutes minimum and a day maximum. She cannot control when she can turn into her or not.

Fighting Style: In battle, Ami turns into Amelia, however she does gain some traits from A as well. She is extremely cautious, for she knows that any wrong move can lead to her death. She always as a goal in her head when she fights and she tries with all her might to achieve it. When she gets into the actual fighting part, she turns into a cold and calculating fighting machine. She holds nothing back usually. Ami’s fighting style is a mixture between fighting with weapons and fighting with her teigu. She isn’t incredibly reliant on her teigu, but tends to fight with it more than with a weapon. However, Ami although not as proficient with this style, can fight hand to hand combat. She mainly prefers melee combat however, rather than ranged which gives her much trouble against those who wish to fight from long distances. She also tends to focus more offensively rather than defensively which opens her up to taking heavy damage from other attacks that are directed towards her.

Motivations: Many things motivate Ami. She strives to accomplish a world where both poor and rich alike are treated fairly. She wants to see a new era of peace where there is no drama, no mistreatment and death is kept to a minimum. Ami strives to change the way of the Empire to become much more benevolent and respectful towards their people, which is why she joined Night Raid. However, her ulterior motive is to regain her hope on humanity. After seeing so many forms of abuse, she lost her hope on humanity. She had regained some hope back after joining Night Raid, however she knows that it was simply her first step in regaining it all.
Extra: Ami has Multi Personality Disorder, where she switches between two different personalities, A and Amelia. She also has Intermittent Explosive Disorder, which means she has sudden aggressive and sometimes violent outburst of anger.

The Past

History: On the 21st of October, Amelia H Donnelly, also known as Ami was born from a small family consisting of two people: her mother and her father. Both were members of the Imperial Army. Her mother, Symphony was a daughter of a high class nobleman. She was a ferocious fighter in combat and showed no mercy to her enemies. Her father, Parish was a General in the army. From a very young age, they raised their daughter to become a killing machine. They trained her in the art of fighting and taught her how to fight with weapons, specifically swords. However, her parents were harsh. They never showed any sign of affection nor comfort. They abused her, although never physically. They scarred her mentally and emotionally. To prevent them from hurting her further she simply learned to block off her emotions. She was an emotionless empty shell for the first thirteen years of her life. She was hired as a solider in the army when she turned thirteen. In the army, although she never received the affection she never had, she received praise instead. This allowed her to regain some emotions such as anger and happiness. However her old personality never disappeared, but rather she simply just gained a new one.

Ami continued to work for the army for three years. During this span of time she regained some other emotions she had kept locked deep within her for many years such as fear, hatred and happiness. On her sixteenth birthday she received a special gift, her Teigu. She continued working for the Empire for about a year, one day however she figured out the truth. She had learned of rumors of people going missing and being abused in reality. She was horrified by this and when she asked her parents, they confirmed the truth. When she learned of this, two new emotions came back to her: sorrow and disgust. At that point, she decided she would be done being the Empire’s slave, she would start off by murdering two of the empire’s most prized soldiers, her parents. One night, she secretly poisoned their food and left them to die. Shortly after the deaths of her parents, she knew that their deaths would be traced to her. Rather than spending the rest of her life fleeing, she decided to make it known that she was rebelling against the empire. Ami joined the Revolutionary Army. She soon learned of a group known as the Night Raid and learned about their motives. She wished to join them so she tracked the group down during one of their attacks against the army. She aided them in the fight to their surprise. After the attack she was recruited by the leader of Night Raid, Lilinette to join. She accepted this invitation which leads her up to now being a member of the group.
